Alexander Louis Simon was born on September 3rd, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away on March 20th, 2026. Alex is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Henry and Rose (Popp) Simon. Alex is one of four siblings--Charles Henry Simon, Jr., Tanya Rose Mellen, and Vincent Joseph Simon. He served in the US Navy from 1953 to 1958, as a Radio Operator, receiving an honorable discharge. Upon his discharge, Alex worked for many years as a Computer Engineer. In his retirement, he enjoyed tinkering with electronics and was an aviation enthusiast from his days in the Navy. Alex was an animal lover, rescuing and caring for several dogs during his lifetime, and an active member of the Republican Party. Alex married Helen Elizabeth Haffey (deceased) in 1956, and is the father of six children--Paul Alexander (deceased), Stephen Louis, Theresa Lynn, Mark Andrew (deceased), Kevin Quinn, and Wesley Neal. Alex married his second wife, Irene Pamela Stockdale, in 1989.
