Barbara Ann Johnson, long time resident of Mount Dora, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving husband, sons, daughter and family.
Barbara Ann was born on April 14, 1936 in Rome, Georgia. She was a diehard University of Georgia Bulldog graduate and became an elementary school art teacher.
For the past sixty years Barbara Ann shared her time with the love of her life, "Bobby". Early they moved around during his time in the service. The couple settled in Central Florida and raised four children. Barbara Ann cherished her time with her family, often spending hours sitting around the kitchen table laughing, playing games, and reminiscing. She enjoyed special family vacations back home in Georgia, at the beach on Siesta Key, and in the North Carolina Smoky Mountains. She loved celebrating holidays and birthdays, especially with her grandchildren who filled her home with laughter.
Barbara Ann shared the sweetest smile with everyone she met. She had an enormous heart and always saw the good in people. She was a very devout Christian that never waiver in her faith. Barbara Ann made sure her family knew how much she loved them and how proud of them she was. Her passions included gardening, reading, bird watching and spending time with her seven grandkids.
Barbara Ann is survived by her loving husband, Robert N. Johnson, and their children, Rob and his wife, Carolina; Bryan and his wife, Cheryl; Todd and his wife, Debbie; their daughter, LuAnne; and their seven grandchildren, Taylor, Meagan, Matthew, Betsy, Oliver, Emily, and Eli.
