Barbara Ann Blaylock Jones was born on December 3, 1933, to Edward and Dewey Blaylock in Chickamauga, Ga. She lived in Georgia until her marriage to Paul Howard Jones of Marion, NC, at the age of 19. Eventually she and Paul moved to Orlando, Fl , where they began their family. Two daughters, Belinda and Terry, were born while living in Orlando, and a third, Paula , was born after moving to Spartanburg, SC , where they lived for five years before moving back to Florida, settling in Mount Dora.

Initially she worked for the Bank of Mount Dora and then eventually she worked for Doric Foods. It was in the '70's she answered God's call to open a Christian Bookstore. The Christian Book Inn became a beacon of the community. For more than 35 years she served God through this ministry.

Her family joined First Baptist Church in 1969. Barbara was actively involved in the music program of the church for the remainder of her life. Her gift as a pianist was God given, and one she used to enhance and enrich the worship experience of the church. She always encouraged her children to be involved and taught many life lessons through her association with the church. She was a woman of God who lived her faith and demonstrated God's love in countless ways. Her legacy is one of loving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and she will be forever missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul and daughter Belinda. She is survived by her daughters Terry Jenkins and Paula McNeely, and their families.
