Barbara K Riddles was the oldest of four siblings and was born to Oran and Emily Davidson in Santa Ana, California. She entered into eternal rest on January 5, 2021 in Lake County Florida. Barbara lived her entire life in Southern California except for the few years she attended college in Waxahatchie, Texas. At the age of 85 she moved across the country and relocated in Central Florida.

Barbara spent her children's formative years as a full time mother and housewife. She served her local church in various roles as Deaconess, Sunday School Teacher, and Youth Leader. Once her children were grown, she entered the workforce as a pre-school teacher at the local church. She retired after more than 20 years as the elementary school Principal. She impacted literally a generation of children with her steadfast love for the Lord and the children's parents with common sense advice and counsel on parenting.

In her later years she enjoyed many hours of fellowship and support with the ladies of the "Piecemakers" Quilting Group in Mount Dora. She was affectionately known in the group as "little bit" making baby blankets that were sent overseas to the mission field. At the time of her death there were several unfinished projects resting on her workbench.

While Barbara remained steadfast and a traditionalist in her faith, she embraced new technologies to spread the Gospel. During the current pandemic Barbara faithfully attended church via ZOOM and even led the congregation during one service during the Advent Season.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Oran and Emily Davidson, a beloved aunt Alfreda Churchill, siblings Phil Davidson, Wilma Scoggins, Dorothy Zimmerman, and her husband of nearly 50 years William Edward Riddles. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son Wayman Alwynn Riddles(Elke), a granddaughter Ramona Lisa Riddles, a daughter Ruthie Jobob Carskadon(Robert),  a grandson Shannon Lee Carskadon(Pamela), and a great grandson Tabare.
