Beryl Cole Newton was born on Friday 22 May 1936 in Burnage, Manchester, England, to (William) Norman Richards and Evelyn Pickford. She died peacefully on Wednesday 9 December 2020 at the age of 84 at Westminster Towers, Orlando, Florida, US. Beryl is survived by her younger brother David Richards and children Stacey Cole and Stephen Cole (Jennifer), and four grandchildren, Melody, Mallory, Zoe and Levi.

Beryl married William George Cole on Saturday 29 March 1958. They emigrated from the United Kingdom through Toronto, Canada, to Queens, New York. They lived in Tanzania, Turkey, and Afghanistan before returning to California and then settling in Miami in 1977. Beryl was widowed on 23 September 1993, and retired to Mount Dora, Florida. Beryl found love again with Byron Newton and was remarried in 1998. She was widowed a second time in 2011. Beryl was gentle and sweet, a devoted wife and a loving person, who will be missed by family and friends. In place of flowers, please be courageous and kind.
