Betty Ann Gibbs Matsche, 81, of Mt. Dora, FL passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Cornerstone Hospice In Clermont, FL. after an extended illness.
Betty, born on December 28, 1936, to the late James and Mary Clifford Gibbs, was a retired interior decorator with Matsche Homes in Mt. Dora, FL. She loved her family dearly and was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She enjoyed painting in her spare time, watching football and basketball games, especially the Florida Gators, and spending time with her family. She loved animals and was especially fond of her cats. Betty was a wonderful hostess and loved showing hospitality to her family and friends. She was one of the most generous and kind individuals anyone could ask for. She was a blessing to know.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack) Matsche, her son, Don Kemp of Clermont, FL, one brother and sister in law, Charles (Buddy) and Ernestine Gibbs of Evans, GA and one sister, Penny Gibbs of Ashburn, GA.
Betty is survived by two brothers, Cliff (Sheila) Gibbs of Ashburn, GA, and Phil (Judy) Gibbs of Athens, GA, one sister, Patsy (Jimmy) Wilson of Sycamore, GA, two step-children, John (Craig) Matsche of Jacksonville, FL and Jill Matsche-Grether and family of Mt. Dora, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Friday October 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Pine Forest Cemetery in Mount Dora, FL.
