IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Blaine Garrit
Vermeulen
February 21, 1954 – November 5, 2025
Blaine Vermeulen was born on February 21, 1954, and passed away on November 5, 2025 — far too soon for all of us who were lucky enough to know him.
Blaine was the kind of person you couldn't forget. He was driven, hard-working, and had an incredible ability to turn determination into success. But beyond his work ethic, what made him truly special was his heart — he was one of the most generous people you could ever meet. If someone needed help, Blaine was there without hesitation, often doing more than anyone expected and never asking for anything in return.
He had a wit and sarcasm that could make anyone laugh, no matter the situation. His sense of humor, his charm, and his natural charisma filled every room he walked into. People were drawn to him — not because he tried to be impressive, but because he was genuine, funny, and full of life.
After courageously facing a brain disease, Blaine decided his work here was done and was ready for the next job waiting for him. He was one of six brothers and sisters and shared an incredible 50-year marriage with the love of his life, Jonni. Together, they raised three children — their son Shane (who preceded him in death), and their daughters Brandy Herron and Brooke Vermeulen — and were blessed with eight grandchildren.
Blaine taught those around him what it means to work hard, to give freely, and to love deeply. He made everyone feel valued, and his presence brought both laughter and warmth wherever he went.
He was one of a kind — the kind of man whose absence leaves a silence that can't ever really be filled. But his spirit, humor, and love will live on in all of us who were blessed to call him family and friend.
