Bonnie Jean Moyes
October 28, 1946 - February 22, 2015

Bonnie Jean Moyes, age 68 went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2015. She was born in Fredericksburg Pennsylvania on October 28, 1946. She moved to Trenton Michigan with her family and attended schools in Trenton. She was a graduate of Trenton High School and maintained a lifelong friendship with her best friend, Barb.

Bonnie entered the Navy in 1964 after graduation. She served as a dental hygienist while stationed in Rhode Island. She enjoyed traveling during her enlistment and visited family in many areas of the United States. She then attended Detroit Mercy College and obtained her Registered Nursing degree. She lived in Toledo Ohio and Washington DC as a Nurse for the next few years before moving to Florida in the early 1980s.

She resided in Winter Park and then Apopka where she worked for over 30 years in the Newborn Nursery units of Winter Park Memorial Hospital and Florida Hospital Altamonte Springs. She formed many lasting friendships. Bonnie was always the one they all could count on for a needed shot of energizing humor on the overnight shift. She loved reading and decorating and being with family. Bonnie had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party, making people laugh, she always had a funny story to share or a silly game. She loved the Lord and attended First United Methodist Church of Mount Dora Florida and recently began attending The Cross Church in Mount Dora, Florida. Her faith was always strong during her long battle with cancer. Bonnie touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.

Bonnie is predeceased by her Father, David John Moyes; her Brother Scott Alan Moyes; her Brother, David Lee Moyes Montgomery. She is survived by her Mother, Elda Jean Montgomery of Leesburg Florida; Nephew, David Scott Moyes (Mallory) of Bushnell Florida; Great-nephew, Archer Joseph; Nieces Christine Corbitt of Loxahatchee Florida, Crystal Corbitt of Great Lakes MN; Cousin; Barry Harold Oldland of Ocala Florida, Sisters Jennifer Moyes of Woodhaven Michigan, Lisa Gay Montgomery of Fruitland Park, Florida and Carol Moyes-Fox (Doug) of Mount Dora Florida.

Friends and Family are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, March 16th, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, 1800 North Donnelly Street, Mount Dora, FL 32757
