Obituary

Brandon David Bentley, 29, of Tavares, passed away Sunday, September 12,2021. Born in Winterpark, Florida, he moved to lake county in 1997 where that became his final home. Brandon graduated from Tavares High School Class of 2010. Brandon was known by all as an amazing son, brother, Nephew, fiancé, stepfather, and soon to be father to Savannah Rose. He successfully owned & operated his own lawn care business. After his dad making his father proud. Prior to that he was a Honda car technician where he was employed at the local Honda Dealership for 8 years. Brandon was also an outdoorsman. He loved to go fishing, lived on a pond, motocross, archery, and had an adventurous soul who loved going to the mountains on family vacations. He loved the outdoors, but more so, he cherished the time he was able to spend with family. Brandon had a love for cooking and grilling barbeque he would always use our family tradition homemade barbeque sauce – if Brandon was grilling it, you knew it was going to be good! Brandon had such a sweet kind heart and soul. He was the best uncle to his many nieces and nephews and a true role model for all of them. Brandon was a planner on his life. Brandon said he wanted to be 30 years old when he became a first-time father. Brandon became engaged to Heather in October 2020, and they found out they were expecting in March 2021. Savannah Rose his unborn child is due December 2021. To know Brandon was to love Brandon he knew no strangers. Brandon is survived by his parents, Brian and Lisa Bentley of Tavares, FL; Siblings, Brittany Bentley (Alex) of Tavares, FL, Brian Bentley, Jr. (Stephanie) of Englewood, FL, Lindsey Rogers (Shawn) of Doerun, GA; Uncle, Michael Strickland of Sorrento, FL. Fiancée Heather Werstein of Tavares, Fl. Stepson John Shahid of Tavares, Fl; Nieces; Madison Bentley, Haley Ray, Jolene Bentley, June Bentley; Nephews; Riley Pace, Layth Stitou, Karston Pope. Brandon was preceded in death by both grandparents, Ralph & Sylvia Strickland, and Charles & Phyllis Bentley. A Celebration of life will be held at Allen J Harden Funeral Home, Mount Dora on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 5:00-7:00pm. Grave side services will be at Tavares Cemetery, Tavares on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 10:00 am.
