CHARLES CLEVELAND BREWER, SR. (CHARLIE/CHED), age 85 of Tavares, FL, slipped quietly and peacefully into the arms of Jesus on October 2, 2014, surrounded by family and angels.

Born in Chattanooga, TN on May 17, 1929, he attended school at both Central High in Chattanooga and David Lipscomb High in Nashville.

Beloved member and elder of Orange Avenue Church of Christ of Eustis, FL. His heart for Christian missions took him all around the world during the past 30 years. Owner of Christian Builders, Inc., he spent the last 45 years, before retirement, designing and building church buildings and campuses, schools, and nursing homes all over the country.

He is survived by his wonderful wife of 65 years, Evelyn McCurdy Brewer of Tavares, FL, his daughters Karin B. Sapp (Mike) of Westminster, SC, Beverlie D. Brewer of Beulaville, NC, and Charles C. Brewer, Jr. (Chuck/Sharon) of Tavares, FL, his six grandchildren, Jessica Pritchett (John), Charles C. Brewer III (Chad/Julia), Joshua Griffin, Zachary Brewer, Ashton Brewer, and Abigail Brewer, and four great-grandchildren, Molly Pritchett, Kaveri Brewer, Norah Brewer, and a little Pritchett still in the womb.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Orange Avenue Church of Christ, Eustis, FL. Visit with the family from 4:00pm with the service beginning at 5:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Mount Dora Christian Home and Bible School of Mount Dora, FL, or Cornerstone Hospice of Tavares, FL.
