Charles Sagar, Jr. was born on July 22, 1923 to Charles, Sr. and Emma Sagar of North Attleboro, MA. He was the youngest of four children. His three sisters, Ruth Cash, Barbara McCarthy, and Hope Bridge, all pre-deceased him.

Charlie was a proud Army veteran of WWII, surviving D-Day, going ashore the beaches of Normandy. He retired after 42 years with the railroad as a locomotive engineer with Amtrak. Following his retirement he relocated to Florida where he met his wife of 19 years, Caroline J, Sagar. They were married on April 18, 1998.

He is the father of Donna Allenson of Bonita Springs, FL.,Thomas Sagar (deceased), of Chepachet, R.I., Gary Sagar of Seekonk, MA. He is the grandfather of Kristen (Gebhardt) Shaffer, and her family; Brian Gebhardt, and his family; Pamela (Sagar) Correia, and her family; Victoria and Matthew Sagar.

The funeral with full Military Honors will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Mount Dora, 1000 E 1st Ave., Mount Dora, FL.
