Charles (Charlie) John Walter Jr., age 87, died Thursday June 15, 2023 peacefully with his loving wife of 64 years by his side. He passed in Eustis, Florida which has been his home for many years. Charlie was born December 7, 1935 in Chester, Pennsylvania and later grew up in New Jersey.
Charlie worked many years at Martin Marrietta in Orlando,  Florida as a computer programmer and later retired to build and remodel homes and develop land. He developed two developments Chapel Hill and Deerfoot in Blairsville,  Georgia. In Eustis, Florida he developed phase 2 of Chesterfield Court. He was a skilled craftsman and built beautiful and unique homes.
He divided his time between Eustis, Florida and the North Georgia Mountains of Blairsville, Georgia.  He had a great love of animals and his cats will miss him. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Blairsville,  Georgia and helped with scholarships providing educational help to select students at Union County High School.  Charlie was always willing to help people that were in need of help.
Charlie loved to remodel old cars with one of his favorites being the Studebaker.  He was a member of the Blairsville Cruisers Car Club.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Ann Walter, his daughter Donna Wight of Blairsville, his son John Walter of Blairsville and his grandchildren James Walter, Rebecca Walter and Chantel Walter.  Also his first great grandson Collin Beard.
Charlie will be greatly missed by family and friends.
