Obituary

I decided to write my own obituary because I didn't want to leave the burden to any of my family or friends. The other reason why I'm writing it is because I get the chance to say how much every one of you means to me. Of course, I want to tell my family first and foremost, how much I love them. To Abdel, my husband of 26 years, I thank you for sticking with me all of those years because I know I'm not the easiest person to live with, and I love you for always supporting me and standing by my side. To the most adored, loved, and respected children I could ever hope for- Dorian, Gabriel, Noah, and Mina- you are who I lived for-you are who I cherish- you are who I dedicate my life to- I love you all more than life itself and I want you to never give up-never lose hope- always strive to do the best you can in life. To my Mom, who gave me life- I thank you for being the most compassionate, understanding, and accepting mom in the world. I am who I am because of you. I love you. To my Dad- I thank you for your dedication and devotion to our family- we couldn't have done it without you and I love you! To all of my friends, especially AnnMarie, who shared my many joys, and sorrows through the years- If only people could have friends like you- there wouldn't be such chaos and turmoil in the world- everyone could only wish and dream for the loyal and loving friends that I have. What I have learned through my life journey is to accept people of all races, gender, creed, nationality, culture, and sexuality. When we are born, we are entering into the One Human Family, and we should never think one is better than another. We are all equal and should treat each other as equals. Never worry about what others think of you because the majority of the time, they're probably wondering what you're thinking about them. Never underestimate the value of a kind word or compliment. If you're thinking something nice about someone- why not tell them? You never know what someone else is going through- why not help them have a better day by sharing some joy in their direction. Everyone always says life is too short and it's true, so make sure you live life to the fullest. Enjoy yourself and take care of others- volunteer and don't be afraid of failure, because how do you know if you don't ever try? Give of yourself to others- share yourself with others- people crave attention- give it to them. Loneliness is a heartbreak for people- so be with them- nurture them- help them. Don't hesitate to step out of your comfort zone- you'll never know how good you can be at something or how much you can make someone's day if you don't step out of the box and cherish another human being. Educate yourself- read- travel- learn about other people- their language- their culture- don't close your mind- keep it open and absorbent, like a child who doesn't judge or shut down their brain when they disagree with the source. Most of all- love- with all your heart and soul- deep down inside your inner most self- Love Love Love!
