Commena "Mimi" Cape Kay

God called Commena Kay, 85 home on Saturday morning October 29th in Sylva, NC. She was born September 22, 1931 in Anderson SC.

She worked for Owens Corning Fiberglass in Anderson SC. Upon moving to Florida Commena went to work for First National Bank of Mount Dora and retired as an Assistant Vice President in 1996.

In her younger days Mimi could dance a mean jitterbug and loved to water ski. Her smile and beautiful blue eyes could light up a room. Since the death of her sister Lola Tucker, Mimi spent her summers in the mountains of North Carolina with her brother in law Carl Tucker. She loved playing cards with the Woodfin Creek ladies every week.

She is also preceded in death by her beloved daughter Lisa Kay Nichols, sister Martha Haney, brother John Cape and her cousin Harold Kay.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to your local Salvation Army. Mimi never forgot their kindness to her family when she was a child.
