IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Constance Louise
Douglas
June 13, 1950 – September 14, 2025
Constance Louise Moreland Douglas
June 13, 1950 – September 14, 2025
Constance "Connie" Louise Moreland was born on Tuesday, June 13, 1950, to Edwin and Dorothy Moreland. She grew up on the family dairy farm outside Waldwick, Wisconsin, alongside her older brother, James. In the years that followed, she welcomed three sisters—Catherine, Jean, and Joan—and together they created countless cherished memories exploring the rolling hills of Iowa County.
Connie graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1968 and later pursued nursing coursework at Madison Area Technical College. In the early 1970s, she moved to the Orlando, Florida, area, where she met the love of her life, Rodney Douglas. They were married on Friday, June 22, 1973, and in January 1984, they joyfully welcomed their son, Jeoffry.
A woman of many talents, Connie had a lifelong passion for handicrafts, with a special gift for creating stained glass masterpieces—treasures her family will always hold dear. For more than 20 years, she dedicated herself to the "Three Cs," an auxiliary group raising funds in support of cancer care and research. Connie poured her heart into this passion project, coordinating craft sales and planning an annual themed dinner to honor scores of volunteers.
Connie is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Rodney of Umatilla, Florida; her beloved son, Jeoffry of Daytona Beach, Florida; her brother, James (Cynthia) Moreland of New Berlin, Wisconsin; and her sisters, Catherine (Shane) Havens of Darlington, Wisconsin, Jean Moreland of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and Joan (David) Coogan of Mineral Point, Wisconsin. She is also lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Andee Moreland Haupt, Cassie Moreland, Erick Moreland, Amber Havens Richardson, Skye Havens, Kyle Havens, and Jarren Havens, all of whom reside in Wisconsin with their families.
Although 2025 brought challenges for Connie, she found joy in spending precious time with her three Wisconsin sisters and her eldest niece—moments that are now cherished memories.
A favorite quote, attributed to Pablo Picasso, beautifully reflects the essence of Connie's life: "The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away."
