Obituary

Daniel P. McLaughlin, age 76, passed away Friday January 31, 2020, after a twenty battle with Parkinson's Disease; in which his wife, Rebecca had cared for him at home throughout his decline. He was born in Erie, PA on August 10, 1943, son of the late Paul and Elizabeth McLaughlin.
Dan attended Erie Cathedral Prep and Wesleyville High School. Dan enlisted in the U.S. Army and he served on The 5 th Special Forces Green Beret; in which he was awarded the Silver Star from President Johnson and two Purple Hearts during the Vietnam War.
He was self employed and had owned multiple businesses with his wife. He was a loving and devoted husband and father.
Dan will be remembered by the love of life, Rebecca, of 51 years and sons, Scott (Melissa) and Daniel (JoAnna). He was fondly remembered by his two Granddaughters , Aidanne and Brywn, by his sisters Carol (Tim) and Patti (John) and sister in law Susan (Michel) Fulford and brother in laws Daniel (Susan) Beard and Joseph Beard, He was survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
