I hesitated to just write "Dave died 02/13/2025". His brevity, German blood and sense of humor would have appreciated that. As for the cause of death, no one should rule out excessive cold, not enough vegetables, or the stock market dip.

Born in Indiana and a USAF veteran, Dave spent most of his life in Florida. Here he had multiple companies including "Dave's Place", where most of us paid money to spend time with him. Dave fell for Claire Nardone 42 years ago, and though she had 2 kids (Gina and Kevin), the cute brunette was everything he needed.

Dave was an avid golfer, bowler, and dart player but also pretended to enjoy Claire dragging him on trips all over the world. He was never a fan of small things including children and cats but LOVED his grandkids. THEY could lay in his lap or even talk him into a hike or a boat ride.

Besides Claire and the kids, Dave is survived by his sister, Ilene North, Joan Leutz (sister-in-law), Duane Leutz (nephew and co-conspirator), and a host of other nieces and nephews.

We will miss his advice, sarcasm and hugs…

A "Celebration of Life" will be held on March 2nd, 2025, from 12pm to 4pm at Johnson Hall (aka Tangerine Improvement Society) located at 7101 Wright Avenue, Mount Dora, 32757. Daves' favorite snacks and beverages will be served.
