David Ralph Strickland, 79, Sorrento Fl, passed away on June 5, 2015 at his home following an abrupt illness. A visitation will be held at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home Chapel at 1800 N. Donnelly Street, Mount Dora, FL., 32757 on Monday June 8, 2015 between 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Faith Christian Center, 1546 Highway 188, Cairo, GA, 39828 on Wednesday June 10, 2015 at 11:00 am. Visitation will preceed services at 10:00 am. Graveside Services and burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Ralph was preceeded in death by brothers; Vernon and Wayne Strickland. Ralph was born on October 3, 1935 in Cairo, GA to the late James Howard Strickland and Ethel Frances Andrews Strickland. Ralph is survived by his wife Sylvia Jean Strickland, Sorrento, FL. They married on June 6, 1954 and enjoyed 61 years as soulmates. Ralph is also survived by Son; Michael Strickland (Lucy), Sorrento, FL., Daughter, Lisa and Husband Brian Bentley, Mt. Dora, FL., Grandchildren; Brittany Bentley and Brandon Bentley, Step-grandchildren; Brian Bentley Jr. and Lindsey Bentley, Great Grandchildren; Madison Bentley and Haley Ray, Step Great Grandchildren; Riley Pace and Layth Stitou. Ralph is also survived by a sister; Carolyn and husband Gene Sampson, along with many nieces and nephews. Flowers may be sent or you may make a donation to Cornerstone Hospice.
