Denice Lee Rackel Stephens passed away on September 28, 2024. She was born on February 29, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, to Ernest and Florence Rackel and also had a sister, Patricia, who was 9 years older. Denice was a member of the Mount Dora Yacht Club and Garden Club. She enjoyed spending time doing arts and crafts like stained glass, metal art, jewelry and card making, as well as traveling with friends and family. She especially loved spending time with all of her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Stephens, daughter, Kristen Stavey, grandchildren, Jarrett Stavey, Morgan Stavey and Mitchell Stavey, and great-granddaughter Josephine Denice Stavey.
On Friday, October 4th, 2024, from 12pm to 1pm, there will be a friends and family gathering at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home followed by a Memorial Service at 1pm. Allen J. Harden Funeral Home is located at 1800 N. Donnelly Street, Mount Dora, Florida, 32757.
