IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Diane June
Pettengill
November 23, 1942 – March 14, 2026
Memorial Service
Diane June Pettengill, 83, of Mount Dora, Florida, passed away on March 14, 2026, surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease and cancer.
Born in Lapeer, Michigan, to Daniel and Beulah Bell, Diane grew up on a farm in Fostoria and graduated from North Branch High School in 1960. She enjoyed a diverse and successful career in real estate across both Michigan and Florida. Her professional life also included time in the hospitality industry and managing musical acts during the 1980’s.
Beyond her professional achievements, Diane was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She cherished time spent with her loved ones, especially her three grandsons, who fondly remember accompanying her to real estate listings when they were younger. A lover of music and a dedicated fan of Blake Shelton, she never missed an episode of The Voice. Diane also took great joy in hosting holiday gatherings and preparing meals for her family.
Diane is survived by her sons, David Pettengill and Mark Pettengill; Daughter-in-law, Elise Pettengill (David’s wife); her grandsons, Jesse McCarter and Quentin Pettengill; and her sister, Carol Bell Culp, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Pettengill; her grandson, Ian Pettengill; and her brothers, Murney, Clayton, and Dennis Bell.
