Driggers, Donald L., September 24, 1928 to November 15, 2015.

Don was born to Mamie and Thomas Driggers in Lakeland, Florida and was raised in Milton, Florida, the seventh of nine children. He became a resident of Lake County in 1959 when he moved to Eustis after graduating from the University of Florida with a bachelors degree, majoring in real estate.

Don and his wife Joan opened their real estate office, Don Driggers Realty, Mt. Dora, Florida, in 1961. He was subsequently recognized as realtor of the year in 1967 and upon his retirement 50 years later, he was awarded a lifetime membership into the Lake County Board of Realtors Association in 2004.

Don was the epitome of a southern gentleman. He was a man of commitment, vision, generosity and humor. From his early days to his latter adventures in real estate, he always had an interesting story to tell.

He is survived by his four children- Alice A. Driggers, Joan M. Klein, Donald L. Driggers, Jr., and Charles F. Driggers, Sr.; four grandchildren- Joshua Worden, Elizabeth Farlow (Adam), Charles F. Driggers, Jr., and Natalie Klein; and two great-grandchildren- Aubrey and Joanna Farlow.
