Donald Richard Hyland, age 73, of Mount Dora, FL, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016.

Don was born in Alexandria, VA, on August 25, 1943 to Walter and Georgie Hyland. He worked as a systems software engineer at The Kennedy Space Center and in Antwerp, Belgium. He finished his career in Orlando, Florida before retiring in 2001. He was an accomplished guitarist and vocalist. Don was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him.

Don is survived by his five children who include daughter Tammy Struckman and her husband Michael of Alamo, CA, Terri Bruns and her husband Ken of Apex, NC, sons Matthew and Samuel and daughter Peyton and their mother Wendy of Mount Dora, FL; his brother Jeff Hyland and his wife Tish of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren and two nieces.

The Celebration of Life Service is being held at 5:00 PM, Monday, February 8, 2016 at First United Methodist Church of Mount Dora. 440 E. 6th Avenue, Mt. Dora, Florida.
