Donald Earl Stephens, 77, of Mount Dora, Florida passed into Heaven peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 18th. Donald was a life long resident of Lake County. He graduated from Eustis High School in 1958 and went on to graduate from The University of Florida. Donald was Lake Country property appraiser for two years before moving on to the Department of Revenue for the State of Florida. Besides working a full time job, Donald worked tirelessly with a family owned citrus business on Hwy. 441 and lived 54 years on a farm raising beef cattle. What little spare time remained, Donald loved the Florida Gators and classic cars.
