DONNA LEE STAVEY

Donna Lee Stavey, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on November 17, 2024, at the age of 88.

Born on January 1, 1936, in Cooperstown, Pennsylvania, to William and Florence Francisco, Donna was a twin whose sister sadly passed away shortly after birth. Donna was known for her dedication to her family, her caring community outreach and her enthusiasm for learning new things.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Donald Stavey; their children, David (Mary Jo), Diane (Andy), Doug (Valerie), and Dane (Kristen); grandchildren, Michael, Pierce, Neil, Evan, Abigail, Annabel, Emma, Jarrett, Morgan, and Mitchell; and seven great-grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her brothers, Lyle and William Francisco.

Donna's family was always her top priority. She was a talented cook, immaculate housekeeper, thoughtful event planner and accomplished painter. She loved her church, First United Methodist of Mount Dora, and the fellowship of Hannah's Women's Circle. She was also a member of the local chapter of Eastern Stars.

Throughout her life, Donna worked in several roles, including Payroll Clerk at Grants Department Store, Welcome Wagon Hostess for the City of Mount Dora, Teacher's Assistant, and School Secretary at Roseborough Elementary. She was passionate about helping others and dedicated her time to fundraising for various charities, driving neighborhood children, and sending thoughtful cards to friends and family. Some activities she enjoyed were crafting, designing and making greeting cards, scrapbooking, square dancing, playing cards, doing genealogical research and spending time with family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am on Monday, December 2nd, 2024, at The First United Methodist Church in Mount Dora.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Residing Hope located in Enterprise, FL.

Donna is now living her best life in the presence of her Savior and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
