Dorothy Hilton Case Healy, 54, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly September 8, 2015 at ORMC in Orlando. A celebration of Dottie's life will be held at the Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, 1800 N. Donnelly Street, Mt. Dora, FL 32757 on Saturday, September 12, 2015.
Friends and family will be welcome to pay their respects beginning at 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service with Father James Spencer of St. Peter the Fisherman, New Smyrna Beach presiding at 1 p.m.
Dottie was born in Dewey Beach, DE on July 14, 1961 to George E. Case (dec 1/14/1968) and Georgeanne White (Cochran). She is survived by her husband Joseph (Chris), her daughter Leah Case Germain, her mother Georgeanne, 3 sisters: Georgeanne Herr (Jack), Nancy Deal (Sam), and 2 brothers Chip Burton and Marc Burton, nieces Nicole, Michelle, Lindsey, Lauren, Katie, Elizabeth, nephews Brandon and Matthew.
After growing up in Dewey Beach, Dottie moved first to Orlando with her family, then for 18 months to Kwajalein Atoll in the South Pacific. She then returned to Orlando, where she attended and graduated from Boone High School.
Dottie continued her education at the University of Central Florida with a degree in marketing. Dottie then began a long, very successful career in media sales with Orlando Magazine, The Orlando Sentinel, and most recently, Visit Orlando. Her list of valued clients includes The Swan & Dolphin Hotels, Mango's, Dragonfly, Del Frisco's, Nickelodeon Hotel, all of Manny Garcia's restaurant brands, Florida Mall, Marriott Hotels, Hilton Hotels, The Orange County Convention Bureau, and Gatorland.
Dottie was fun, vibrant, giving, and so loving to everyone with whom she ever encountered in her all too short life.
She leaves an amazing legacy, but a huge void that we will never fill. Her family and friends will miss her so very much.
