Earl J. Griggs passed away peacefully in his home, April 16, 2018, in Mt. Dora, Fl. He was 92.

Earl is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Carolyn; his daughters, Pamela (Bill), Deborah (Cory); his son, David (Rita); 5 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 6 great granddaughters, and 4 great grandsons.

Earl was born February, 18, 1926, in Lake Jem, Fl. to his parents, Samuel and Alma Griggs. Earl had a long career with Minute Maid and Doric Foods. He has lived in Mt. Dora for the past 56 years.

Earl was a Navy Veteran serving in World War II. He has been a member of First Baptist Church in Mt. Dora for 76 years where he served on numerous committees and was a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. His Christian faith and values touched many lives. He is preceded in death by his brother Carroll and their parents.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 18, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at Allan J. Harden Funeral Home in Mt. Dora. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 19 at First Baptist Church Mt. Dora.
