Eddy Jo Fields, 71, went home to the arms of her precious and loving savior Friday, May 20, 2016, at her home in Mount Dora, FL surrounded by her family. In her last 2 years she courageously battled kidney and arterial complications and faced many grueling hardships that most of us couldn't imagine: yet her faith in God never once faltered and God's grace carried her through. Even in her suffering she would reach out to others to share God's truth.

Jo was born on October 31, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to George and Ina Norris. She had 2 siblings - older sister Kay and a younger brother George. She graduated from Fairborn High School in 1962 and went on to become an accomplished cosmetologist.

Jo met and fell in love with Ron Fields, and the two were married November 20, 1965. God blessed them with two daughters: Sheri, the oldest, and Shannon. Soon after Sheri was born, Jo was able to fulfill her dream of being a fulltime mother and devoted herself to her family and home.

Ron and Jo shared many blessings throughout the years - starting and growing a successful company together, high school and college graduations, the marriage of Sheri to husband Mike, the marriage of Shannon to husband Doug, and the arrival of grandson, Alex. They also endured great sorrow, but in all things they praised God and remained faithful to him.

Possessing a true servant's heart, Jo graciously cared for her family and friends. Whether it was teaching Sunday school, helping a friend in need, or nursing a loved one, she would always give 100% of herself. Her strength, love, kindness, laughter, and faithfulness to God will live on in the hearts of those she touched, who even now are being changed by her beautiful witness.

Jo is preceded in death by her parents Ina and George, sister Kay, brother George, brother-in-law Rick, sisters-in-law Gwen and Joy, and daughter Sheri.

She is survived by husband Ron, daughter Shannon, sons-in-law Mike and Doug, and grandson Alex.

Services will be held from 10 am - 12 pm on Saturday, May 28th at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home located in Mount Dora, FL.
