Edward "Eddie" John Vedder, 69, of Mount Dora, Florida passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, Sunday, January 24, 2016. After a courageous battle with cancer he is now with the Lord.

He was one of three children born to the late Edward and June Vedder. Ed was the loving husband of Ley Vedder for 36 years. He will forever be remembered by his children Christine Vedder and her daughter Raya, Michael Vedder, his wife Brooke and their son Luke, and David Vedder and his wife Jessica. Also his beloved sisters Joan Perri and Carole Crawford and many caring nephews and nieces along with many in-laws, and countless other family and friends whom were blessed to know him.

Ed was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan and he graduated from Central High School. After high school he joined the Navy. He had a great love for his family and friends and enjoyed music, motorcycles, vintage cars, and guns.

Ed touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life on Thursday, January 28th, 2016. Visitation is from 5:00-6:00 pm immediately followed by his service at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, 1800 Donnelly Street, Mount Dora, Florida 32757.
