God saw you were tired, so he did what he thought was best. He stood beside you and whispered, come rest.
EDWARD J. MARVIN, born June 23rd, 1938 in Cortland, NY passed away peacefully March 19th, 2016 in Leesburg, FL. He graduated from Norwich, NY in 1956. After school he went on to serve his country in the US Navy. He was aboard the USS William R. Rush and received a Good Conduct Medal. He was Honorably Discharged in 1960. He married Jean P. Marvin on October 24th, 1964. Edward spent most of his life as a maintenance mechanic in the beverage industry. He was a founding father of Pasco Volunteer Fire Department for over 15+ years. Later on in life he delivered flowers at Ariels in Tavares until he retired. Edward loved spending time with the family and really enjoyed his time with the grandkids and great grandkids. Edward was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean P. Marvin, parents: Gerald (Harriett) Marvin, Sisters: Janice Manwarren & Rebecca Atchley, Brother: Donald Marvin.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Son: Michael (Tracy) Marvin (Summerfield, FL), Daughters: Ivy (Todd) King (Belleview, FL) & Kelly (Dean) Carter (Oxford, FL).
6 Grandkids: Crystal (Mike) Kirkland, Ashley (Andre) Murdock, James (Chelsea) King, Hunter Carter, Forrest King with special friend Brittany Mizell, & Michael Marvin, Jr.
8 Great Grandkids: Noah, Nathan, & Makenzie Kirkland. A'Marie, Adrian, & Shantae Murdock. Colton & Brayden King.
8 Brothers & Sisters: Sarah Locke (San Andreas, CA), Geraldine Terry (Salisbury, NC), Kenneth Marvin (Beaver Meadow, NY), Marjorie Pittsley (Leesburg, FL), Douglas Marvin (S. Plymouth, NY), Gail Nelson (Smyrna, NY), Beverly Darling (Norwich, NY), & Zane Marvin (Beaver Meadow, NY).
He is also further survived by many nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Viewing and Service will be held Saturday March 26th, 2016. Viewing will be from 10:30 am-12 pm. Service will be at 12pm.
