Obituary

Edward Anthony Sliman, 78, of Mount Dora, FL passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 27, 2013.

Ed was born in Canton, Ohio on February 3, 1935, one of six children to the late Ernest & Ruth Sliman. He was a Graduate of Kent State University and an alumnus of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and their Alumni Foundation.

He proudly served his country as a Veteran of the U.S. Army and was recalled to active duty during the ?Berlin Crisis.? He is survived by his wife, Carolann and was the father of twin daughters, Noelle Sliman and the late Nicole Sliman.

Ed was a very special husband, father and had a great sense of humor. He loved his family, friends, football and was an avid Ohio State fan.

He is also survived by his brother Robert and sister Noreen Miller, of San Jose, California. Sisters-in-law, Carmie DeVito, Kay Hart, and brother-in-law, Dale Wheeler, all of Ohio and many special Nieces and Nephews.

Ed is pre-deceased by his sisters, Ernestine (Jim) Neading, Antoinette Wheeler, and brother, Tom Sliman & brother-in-law Dr. John A. DeVito.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, May 10, 2013, at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church,
6803 Old Highway 441 South, Mount Dora at 9:00 a.m. with Father Robert D?Aversa, TOR officiating. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers and Ed?s strong belief in education and the youth, donations can be made to Bishop Moore Catholic High School, c/o of the Sliman Memorial Fund/Assistance for financial need for Seniors, 3901 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, Florida 32804.
