Obituary

Edwin Rolando Mejia was taken way too soon on March 21st, 2025, at 1:17 p.m., in the loving presence of his wife, daughter and brother. Edwin's contribution to this world will never be forgotten, from his ambition, generous spirit, loyalty and love for his family, willingness to help anyone and the ability to make everyone laugh, his memory lives on...

Edwin was born on May 9th, 1971, in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Edwin, at 2 years old, immigrated to the United States with his mother, Noemi, father, Richard Heuser, and sister, Iveth, whom he has joined in heaven. He was a hard-working man who adored his family. After 20 years of friendship and dating, Edwin proudly married his wife, Errin, on June 18th, 2005, and they went on to have their daughter, Muriel. She is with no doubt Edwin's greatest accomplishment. The Mejia family resided in Mount Dora, Florida, where Edwin soared in his window film business, always growing to new levels building professional and respectable relationships with his unique spirit. Edwin did so much to show love, to help and support his family, friends and community. He would literally give the shirt off his back for anyone who needed it. He loved making people laugh with no holds barred. He was driven by work, loved music, thrill seeking, the beach & surfing, aviation model planes and his mom's lasagna. If you were lucky enough to know Edwin, I'm sure you'll have an interesting, entertaining and funny story to share. Edwin was one of the few genuinely great men, his faith in God was evident and his love and memories will live on...

Edwin is survived by his wife, Errin Baccari-Mejia, his daughter, Muriel Mejia, his mother, Noemi Heuser, father, Richard Heuser, brother, Frank, sister, Jackqueline, brother, Richard, and step-sister, Kathleen; Edwin's nieces and nephews, Lura, Joshua, Alex, Jordan, Mayra, Jonathan, Avigail, Kailey, Elaine, Stephen, Clarice, Kaitlin, Jacqueline and Robert; Edwin's great nieces and nephews, Aiden, Marianna, Angel, Sophia, Jackquline, Liam Tiernan, Zoe, Avaa, Bella, Crew, Harper and Elliott; Brother-in-law, David, sisters-in-law, Roberta, Lauren and Mary; Cousins, who are friends, and life-long friends, who are family.
