Emily Yvonne Goodman passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025, at her home in Tavares, Florida. She was 64.
Known to her friends and family as Yvonne, she was born January 12, 1961, in Lexington, Kentucky, the daughter of Barbara (Burdette) Hudson and William J. Lattin Jr.
A 1979 graduate of McLean County High School, Yvonne grew up primarily in Owensboro, Kentucky, and attended Owensboro Catholic High before transferring to McLean County, Kentucky.
Yvonne relocated to Central Florida in 1986 and later studied business at Warner Southern College, earning a degree in organizational management in 2002.
She spent most of her career working for Darden Restaurants and Red Lobster and is the former owner of Magnolia Tea Company at Lake Square Mall in Leesburg, Florida.
Yvonne spent the last several years serving as assistant vice president of the Lake County Department of Housing and Community Services in Tavares, where her duties included a major role with the Elder Affairs Coordinating Council.
Yvonne had a passion for tea, visiting beaches and spending time outdoors and with the love of her life, Anthony "Tony" Goodman. She also loved hiking, camping and the UCF Knights.
In her words, she "never met a beach that I didn't like." Yvonne and Tony married in their paradise of Hawaii in May 2018.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her father and father-in-law, Bradley Goodman Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Tony; parents, Barbara and Billy Ray Hudson of Leesburg, Florida; brothers, John Lattin (Suzy) of Houston; Christopher Lattin of Evansville, Indiana; Mark Lattin (Anne) of Lexington, Kentucky; and Robert Hudson (Jessica) of Leesburg, Florida; daughters, Amy Hendry (Matt) of San Diego; Alyssa Fallstrom (Derek) of Chicago; and Bethany Squires (Ben) of Feilding, New Zealand; grandchildren, Matthew Hendry Jr., Emily Hendry, Elliott Fallstrom, Everly Fallstrom and Ren Squires; and lifelong friend, Lavida Hinton Mischel of Owensboro, Kentucky.
A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, located at 1800 N. Donnelly Street, Mount Dora, Florida, 32757. A funeral service will be held at the same location, on Friday, May 2, 2025, and will take place at 11 a.m., followed by an interment at Pine Forest Cemetery in Mount Dora.
