Erma Lee Yancey's Obituary
Erma Lee Yancey, 71, of Sorrento, FL, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in St. Joseph, MO to the late Edgar and Viola Scott Groshong. She moved to Sorrento, 11 years ago from Orlando.
Erma was a gifted seamstress.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father and her beloved husband, Eugene Yancey, brothers Pete Groshong (Phoenix, Az.), and Billie Groshong (Northwich Cheshire, England).
She is survived by her son David Yancey (Sorrento), daughter Diane Lingerfelt, son-in-law Brian Lingerfelt (Eustis), brother Franklin Groshong (Flagstaff, Az.), sister Norma Airheart -Jones (Sorrento), her granddaughters, Lacey Davis (Eustis), Jessica Yancey (Sorrento), Ciera Yancey (Eustis), grandson James David Yancey (Sorrento), and five great-granddaughters Kaley Denoyer, Chloe Denoyer, Cassandra (Bitty) Perez, Kelsey Vela, and Jaylin Nicole Vela, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 10AM to 12PM at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, 1800 N. Donnelly St. Mount Dora, FL with a service following at 12 noon.
The family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society PO Box 22718 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123-1718.
