Francis Earl White, a resident of Grand Court, Tavares, Florida died January 6, 2014 at Florida Waterman Hospital. He was born January 26, 1924 to Grant and Lucille (Harkelroad) White in Rural Valley, Pa.

Mr. White worked at GE in Erie, Pa. in the motor assembly division before retiring to Leesburg, Florida in 1989. Earl served in the Army during WW II and was married to Edith Lorraine shortly after returning home. Earl and Lorraine enjoyed traveling, nature and bird watching.

Mr. White was preceded in death by his wife Edith Lorraine, brothers Daniel and Carl (WW II veterans) and sister Doris. He is survived by nephew Terry White and wife Janice of DuBois, Pa. and several other relatives. He is also survived by a very dear and beloved friend Karin Carroll formerly of Leesburg, Florida.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Allen J. Harden Funeral Home of Mt. Dora, Florida. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
