Gai (Gayzey) Taylor Eckhoff, age 85, daughter of Allen F. Taylor and Noreen R. Taylor, passed to eternal peace on Friday, April 17, 2021.  She is survived by her two sons, Glenn (Darlene) Stasky of Folsom, CA, and Andrew (Alice) Stasky of Mount Dora, Fl, her granddaughter Colleen (Jeremy) Bailey, her niece Joan (Frank) Abbondondolo, and grandnephews.  She is predeceased by her husbands Andrew T. Stasky and Paul Eckhoff.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Gai spent most of her life in Dix Hills, Long Island, and in Kinderhook, NY.  She moved to Mount Dora, Fl, in September of 2010.  Gai was an avid gardener and reader, she loved to paint/repurpose, cook and travel, was an active member of many Clubs and Committees, and she loved her dogs.  She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and wit, her compassion for others and for making anyone she met feel special.
