Dr. Glennell Renford Smith was born in Mandeville, Jamaica to Vivian and Amy(nee Lynch) Smith on June 25, 1939 and died passing into the arms of the Heavenly Father on December 8, 2020 in Mount Dora, Florida.

Glennel was a doctor, scholar, academic, and philosopher. He was granted degrees from West Indies College(Northern Caribbean University), Canada Union College(Burman University), McGill University, University of Calgary, and the University of Toronto. He held two PhD Degrees in Research-Internal Medicine and Theology, and a Medical Doctor degree, with a specialty in Endocrinology. Glennel loved practicing medicine, travelling, debating, and politics. His personality and booming laughter filled the room. Glennel loved people, fellowship, and the Lord. He was a man of great faith.

Glennell is survived by his children Donna Maria, Mischelle(Sean), Nicola(Mark), and Andrew; his grandchildren Rachel, Michael, Adam, Matthew, Jordan, Danielle, and Monique; his great-grand daughter Riley; and his siblings Ronald and Leonie.

Glennell passed from this life into the next in peace saying he had no fear in death as he knew his journey from this life was into Heaven.
