IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gordon Lee
Dobbs, Jr.
October 13, 1951 – November 4, 2024
Gordon "Bud" Dobbs, Jr.
Devoted Husband, Father and Papaw
Gordon "Bud" Lee Dobbs, Jr.,73, passed peacefully on November 4th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Bud was born on October 13th, 1951, in LaGrange, Georgia, to Edna and Gordon Dobbs Sr. His favorite memory to talk about was of his sister breaking a broom over his head and dragging him through a pile of sand spurs.
After high school in 1970, he married the love of his life, Kathleen and joined the Florida "Eustis" National Guards, where he served for 9 years. While he dabbled in many things during this time from being a volunteer firefighter, ambulance first responder and an electrician, he finally found his way to the chemical world, which ultimately led him to his career in the Pest Control industry where he worked from 1975 to 2021, when he retired. He was also a Mason and a past Master of the Mount Dora Masonic Lodge.
Bud is survived by his wife, Kathi, and their children, Becky (Jeff), Matt (Nicki), three grandchildren and 3.5 great grandchildren. His sisters, Jane and Charlette, and many nieces and nephews.
On Saturday, November 9th, 2024, a visitation will be held at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home located at 1800 N. Donnelly Street, FL., 32757, from 10am to 12pm. A graveside service will follow at 12:30pm at Sorrento Cemetery located at 23305 Oak Lane, Sorrento, FL., 32776.
