Umatilla, FL - Gus P. Verdugo, 69, died unexpectedly March 17, 2023, at his home in Umatilla, FL. He was born July 12, 1953, at Barksdale Airforce Base in Bossier, LA; the son of Gustavo Buelna and Ita Jeana Verdugo. Graduated from Humboldt, TN Highschool, Class of 1971. Following graduation, his profession was a Carpenter building houses in Tennessee, Texas and Florida.  He had a love for woodworking, fishing, his son & daughter and grandchildren. Gus is survived by his daughter Allison Verdugo of Mount Dora, FL; his son Nicholas Verdugo and his wife Chelsea, of Sorrento, FL; three grandchildren; Silas, Adelina and Gabriel Verdugo; one sister, Stephanie Lowell of Fairhope, AL and one brother Nicholas Verdugo of Daphane, AL.
