Ida Sara Graddy was born November 13, 1920, in Lewisburg, Alabama, near Birmingham. She was deceased January 24, 2015, at the age of 94, in Mt.Dora, Florida.

She was a widow and she was survived by her daughter, Judith Ann and her son Rick. She had two granddaughters and five great grandchildren. She preferred to be called Sara and she lived most of her adult life in Winter Park, Florida. She moved to Grand Island, Florida in 1990 and Mt.Dora in 2005.

She was a housewife and a Beautician and in her fifties earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Sara's Christian faith was an important part of her life and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eustis.
