Jackie Eugene Patterson Jr., also known as J.R., 57, of Mount Dora, Florida, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018.

A viewing service will be held from 5-7 p.m. on July 10, 2018 at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home in Mount Dora, Florida.

J.R. was born in Leesburg, Florida on October 8, 1960. He graduated from Mount Dora High School and continued on to receive a degree in HVAC from the Lake County Area Vocational Technical Center in Eustis, Florida.

J.R. worked as a instrumentation technician for a variety of oil refineries. He enjoyed watching the Florida Gators (preferably when they won), Star Trek and listening to classic rock.

He spent more than two decades in California raising his four daughters, Annalyse, Brittany, Jacqueline and Katrina, before moving back to Lake County in 2016 to be closer to family.

J.R. is preceded in death by his his parents, Jackie and Nila, and sister, Michelle.

J.R. is survived by his four daughters, two granddaughters, Lilly and Chloe, the mothers' of his children, Debbie and Jean, along with his brothers, Darrell and Donald Patterson, as well as his many other family and friends who loved him, including his beloved companion Shane.
