James R. Barclay passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Nancie, son William Scott Nelson (Liz), daughters Marci Stanley (Jim) and Laurie Lambert (Phil), 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and his cherished dog Mollie.

Jim loved golf, the University of Michigan, poker with his buddies, anything Scottish, and definitely cookies.

He served in the Navy on the Aircraft Carrier USS Antietam and served on the Redford Township Police Department for 25 years. Jim started as a rookie and retired as police chief. Some of his favorite moments were spending time and reminiscing with his lifelong police brothers and sisters.
