HOUCK James Herman "Jim" passed away in Eustis on March 22, 2014. He is survived by: his bride of 68 years Bette, sister Gladys Torbert, sons James (Tina), Tom, & John (Rhonda), 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a great extended family. Jim was born to Susan and JDL Houck in Perry August 31, 1919, and enlisted in the Army Air Corps October 1941. After the War he & Bette made their home in Jacksonville, then he found his favorite job was cooking KFC in Orlando and Crystal River. He celebrated 50 years of doing that in 2010. There is one fewer of the Greatest Generation. A Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 24, 2014 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Allen J Harden Funeral Home Chapel, Services will be Wednesday, March 25 at 11:00 am at Allen J Harden Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pine Forest Cemetery, Mount Dora, Florida.
