Jane Robinette

(aka GG-MA)

"a life well lived; a woman well loved"

Jane Robinette, 87 passed away on February 1, 2021 at her home with her daughters at her side.  This of course included her "fur baby" Ava Mae, cat extraordinaire.

She was born in 1933 in Dallas, NC and made the move to Howey-in-the-Hills, FL in 1968 with her family. In 2017 she moved to Eustis, FL to live with her daughter.

Jane touched the lives of so many in her 45+ year career as an RN specializing in Obstetrical Nursing.  She started her nursing journey at Gaston Memorial in Gastonia, NC.  She then worked at Lake Community and Leesburg Regional in Leesburg, FL until her retirement.  She rarely went anywhere that someone didn't rush over to give her a big hug, thank her for helping them and then introduce their now 6ft baby.

Jane's passions outside of work included her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved being outside, feet bare so she could wiggle her toes in the dirt as she tended her plants.  Her other guilty pleasure was yard sales. Jane could never EVER pass up a good bargain.

Jane was predeceased by her husband of 38 years William (Sonny) Robinette.  She is survived by her daughters Laura Robinette-Eustis, FL, Carol Williams (Jesse)-Umatilla, FL, grandchildren, Jessica McKinnie (Jason)-Umatilla, FL, Mandy Sellers (Rob)-Cedar Creek, NE, great grandchildren Glen Sellers and Charleigh McKinnie.

She was the oldest of six and survived by five siblings:Faye Lowe- Beverly Hills  FL, Ray Huffstetler-Gastonia NC, Linda Hull-China Gove NC, Dottie Durso-Wilimington NC, David Huffstetler-Raleigh NC.

Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, Mt Dora, FL was entrusted with arrangements.
