Obituary

Janetta VanWaardhuizen, age 68, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 after battling cancer. She was born to the late Weldon and Wilma Bryant on August 14, 1948 in Coloma, Michigan. Janetta grew up in Watervliet, Michigan, where she received her education, married, and had her children. While in Watervliet, Janetta was a housewife and Teacher's Assistant and was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students. She lived in Watervliet until 1983 then moved to Florida. Janetta lived in various cities throughout central Florida before settling to Tavares. She had many different jobs, which included owner and manager of a retired mobile home park, but she was best at being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Janetta loved to travel, she traveled all over the country, took many trips overseas by plane and cruise ships but never stayed away too long as it was hard to stay away from her grandchildren. She touched the lives of everyone she met.
Janetta is survived by her husband, Clarence VanWaardhuizen, step mother, Pat Bryant, daughter Terri Wegner and her husband Rick, son Bill Smith, daughter Angie Devlin and her husband Joe, and her step-son, Jim VanWaardhuizen. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Rachelle Dickinson and her husband Brad, Carly Wegner, Brady VanWaardhuizen, Tyler Wegner, Lauren Devlin, Matthew Devlin, great grandson Brad Dickinson and Janetta's sister, Norma Daniel and husband Jim. She also has many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, 1800 N. Donnelly St., Mt. Dora.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to the Hubbard House on 29 W. Miller St., Orlando, FL 32806.
