Janice Taylor, age 78, of Mt. Dora, Florida, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024. She
was born on April 10, 1946, the daughter of John and Relda White Morgan. She attended
Oskaloosa High School and graduated with the Class of 1964. After graduation, she worked at
Downing Coffee Shop. On August 30, 1968, she was united in marriage to David Taylor at the
Christian Church in Oskaloosa.
After their marriage, they moved to Illinois, and she worked at Ben Franklin. They later owned
and operated J.D. & Son Pest Control for over 25 years. After retiring, Janice and David did
mission work for the Sojourner. They traveled all over the country in their RV while helping with
building projects. David passed away in September of 2010, and Janice moved to Mt. Dora,
Florida. She was a member of the Mt. Dora Church of Christ in Mt. Dora. She enjoyed
crossword puzzles, attending her ladies' church group and bible studies, and spending time with
her family.
Her family includes a son, John Eric (Lori) Taylor of Austin, Texas; her grandchildren, Dalton and
Jayne Taylor: a sister, Delores Cundiff of Kirkville, a nephew Bryon Dagmar Cundiff and a niece,
Tammy (Gary) Harland of Ottumwa, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: David G. Taylor; a brother, Charles S.
Morgan and brother-in-law Gary W. Cundiff.
A Celebration of Life for Janice will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 10:30 AM in the
Mt. Dora Church of Christ in Mt. Dora, Florida. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Dora Church
of Christ at 1801 N. Donnell Street, Mt. Dora, Florida 32757.
