John Clementz long time resident of Mt. Dora, age 67, died suddenly on November 5, 2021 at Waterman Hospital after a short illness.

John was born in Berwyn Illinois, 3rd child of Muriel (Nee) Robert and Joseph B Clementz.

John worked for Sears starting with them in Altamonte Springs store and working in various departments; sporting goods, automotive, lawn and garden and also in management positions.

In 1988 John met Jackie Whitney the love of his life and wife. In 1989 they moved to their home in Mt Dora, FL., they never let go of those early friendships, keeping old and new friends together with his careing ways. John and Jackie's life transitioned to the Sears store in Leesburg where they always included those old friends in new activities. John worked for Sears for a total of 45 years. John retired only a few years ago. John wanted to be a friend to all when they needed someone and even when they didn't. John most enjoyed walking his many dogs through the local neighborhood stopping to chat with neighbors and new friends he made along the way. John loved sharing the Wildlife and the critter's he met like birds as he walked through the local streets of his neighborhood. Jackie and John also loved their "fur babies and kitties".

John is also survived by his older sister Kathy better known as "Sis", she has been a Sister of Charity Saint Elizabeth of Convent Station, New Jersey for 53 years! Kathy and John loved to play at Walt Disney World and spent many days enjoying all 4 Kingdom's.
Kathy stayed next door in the Whitney cottage during her visits from New Jersey where John would introduce her to the many friends he made along the way. One day he told me "Sis" you better bring your cane because it's a long walk, finally he stopped and came to this big tree and said see the nest up there, it was a pair of Eagles that he watched as the Mom fed the babies until they grew up and flew away.

Kathy says at the end of the funeral several of John's friends came to her and said during the Service they looked up as an Eagle flew over.
