John C. Gunger, of Mount Dora, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2016. He was 60. He was born on November 16, 1955, in Norwich, NY, and moved to Florida with his family in 1961. He was a graduate of Mount Dora High School, Lake Sumter Community College, and held a B.S. from Florida Southern College. He was a service representative for Linde Corporation. He was an active member of First Baptist Church Mount Dora. His life was a testament to his faith, and he served others with all his heart. He will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Linda K. (Looker) Gunger and his daughter, Sarah E. (Gunger) Williams and son-in-love Josh A. Williams. He is predeceased by his parents, Nancy VanZant and John W. Gunger, and his sister Dorothy Woodring. He is further survived by his siblings Lillian Paddock, Nancy Lane (Fred), William Gunger (Cindi), Charles Gunger (Dawn), the Looker family, the Leady family, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial arrangements are through Allen J. Harden Funeral Home in Mt. Dora, and scheduled for July 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m..
