John Michael Kalakay, 78 of Orlando, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 3, 2019, surrounded by family. He was born January 25, 1941, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Agnes and John Steven Kalakay. John Michael served in the United States Marines for six years and was employed by the State of Connecticut until his retirement in 1993. He had an unwavering love for the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Green Bay Packers, and his family. He is survived by his life partner Carol Baldini; along with children, Dr. Jerrid and Deana Kalakay, Brittany Kalakay; and five grandchildren, Logan Nicolas, Aidan Alexander, Urijah Jac, Rawley Michael, and Valyne Flora. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, from 9-10 AM at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, Mount Dora, with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 10 AM.
