John (Jack) Matsche born February 21, 1927 died Sunday, October 26th. He was the youngest of three children born on a dairy farm in rural Cadott, Wisconsin to John Joseph Matsche and Olive Eve Jackson Matsche.

At the age of 17 he enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served his country aboard the USS Cone. In 1954 he moved to central Florida with a small building company. In 1962 he started Matsche Construction Company specializing in custom built homes and professional offices. He enjoyed a successful career until his retirement in 1999.

His brother, Joseph Robert Matsche and his brother-in-law, Laverne Leon Cheney preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Betty Gibbs Kemp Matsche and her son Don Kemp, two children, John Joseph Matsche (Mary Craig) and Hannah Jill Matsche Grether (Todd), and his sister Bette Jeanette Cheney.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st from 6-8 pm and a funeral service on Saturday at 10 am at Harden Funeral Home in Mt. Dora.
