Obituary

Joseph Anthony Migliori, known affectionately as, Joe, passed away on July 3, 2024, at the age of 87, in Tavares, Florida. Born on March 1, 1937, in Woodville, Ohio, Joe, was a star athlete and a pillar of strength in his community.

Joe's passion for sports was evident from his youth in Woodville, Ohio, where he excelled as a star athlete. His talent earned him a baseball scholarship to Wisconsin University in 1956. He completed his college career at Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio. After college, he continued to engage in athletics by playing semi-professional football for the Toledo Tornadoes. Joe dedicated over 30 years to educating young minds as a Physical Education teacher in both Ohio and Lake County, Florida, a career that reflected his love for sports and commitment to youth development.

Aside from his professional life, Joe was a devout member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Mt. Dora, Florida. His faith was an important aspect of his life, providing him with strength and guidance.

Joe's personal life was filled with joy and love. He was a loving husband to Rosalie Migliori and a father to Greg Migliori, Amy Hardesty, Jamie June, Sue Miller, and Todd Migliori. He was also blessed with 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren who brought him immense happiness. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his son, Greg Migliori.

A man of many interests, Joe cherished the moments spent attending his children and grand-children's sporting events across central Florida, cheering them on and providing constant support.

The Migliori family has entrusted Allen J. Harden Funeral Home in Mt. Dora, Florida, with the arrangements. Joe's life and legacy was celebrated and remembered by his family, friends and all who know him. His commitment to his family, faith and community leaves a lasting imprint that will not be forgotten.
